"Every person is world to explore." -Thich Nhat Hanh
Awareness of our inner world—what has shaped us, how we process interactions, and how we communicate—can be complex and difficult. Without awareness, we can develop ways of coping/communicating that lead places we don't actually want to go.
I am an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) and LCAS (Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist) with 18 years of experience providing comprehensive therapy and substance use care to adults, teens and parents.
My practice is deeply anchored in DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) and mindfulness. I completed my DBT training through Btech, the primary training and educational organization founded by DBT's creator Marsha Linehan alongside specialized training in DBT Prolonged Exposure (DBT PE). DBT PE is specifically designed to help individuals with PTSD, who also struggle with severe emotional dysregulation, self-injury, or suicidal behavior. I am also trained in CBT, ERP (Exposure Response Prevention), Motivational Interviewing and I have specialized training in addiction and relapse prevention.
I frequently work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, self-harm/suicidal ideation, major life transitions and parenting challenges.
I believe that therapy works best as a true collaboration- you are the expert in your own life. Together, we will combine your self-knowledge with my clinical tools and insights to build lasting, meaningful change. Let's find that path together.
